Hardox® 400

The general-purpose wear plate for moderate abrasion.

What is Hardox® 400?

Hardox® 400 is the entry grade in the Hardox® wear plate program. At 400 HBW nominal hardness it combines useful wear resistance with very good bending and welding properties, which makes it the default choice for liners, chutes and general wear parts where impact is modest.

Properties below follow the official SSAB® datasheet and product program. For stock and lead time in Egypt, ask BSF.

Hardness
400 HBW nominal
Impact toughness
45 J at -40 C (typical)
Plate thickness
4 to 130 mm
Sheet thickness
2.0 to 8.0 mm
Delivery condition
Quenched or quenched and tempered
